I’ve been walking this whenua,
finding light in all my
shadows.
Light I chase, sun I bathe within.
Story, sun baker, water chaser.
Time is my destiny.
I work with my hands and my heart — and it’s never about
output
it’s always about
relating as deeply and honestly
as I can.
Firstly, I am a
human being
living in a
CURIOUS
WORLD
An observer, a listener, a carrier of
moments
I move between mediums the way breath
moves through the body
painting, carving, photography, film, sound, poetry
each one a doorway
never the destination.
My practice is grounded in mauri
the unseen energy that binds us
and I follow it wherever it asks
me to go.
Into silence, into noise, into story, into stillness.
I’ve spent over
two decades
capturing life
weddings, whānau, streets, stages, film sets
but what I’m really capturing is
connection.
The space between people.
The moment something becomes real.
I create spaces too
for others to arrive as they are. Through sound, through wānanga
through image, through presence.
Spaces where
people
can remember themselves.
I’m not chasing perfection.
I’m chasing truth.
A feeling. A shift. A return.
Everything
I make is an offering to the
whenua,
to the people
to the moment
that will
never come again
