TAONGA PŪORO and ART

Mumu started working with art and poetry to cross the boundaries between storytelling, meditation, healing and abstract ways of visualising mauri (the life force, that exists in everything). He got his first taste of paint during his days of slapping paint on houses in the 1990's. 20 years laters he fell in love with carving rākau (wood) and putting pen/brush to paper.

Mumu create at least one art show per year.

His aim is to have one art show per year for the next 40 years.
